The Unicorn Song

C                                        Dm
A long time ago, when the Earth was green
G                                                           C
There was more kinds of animals than you've ever seen
                                                     Dm
They'd run around free while the Earth was being born
               C                                G    C
And the loveliest of all was the unicorn

                   C                             Dm
There was green alligators and long-necked geese
            G                                                    C
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
                                                           Dm
Sone cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born
         C                                G    C
The loveliest of all was the unicorn

                                                        Dm
The Lord seen some sinning and it gave Him pain
              G                                             C
And He says, "Stand back, I'm join to make it rain"
                                        Dm
He says, "Hey Noah, I'll tell you what to do
C                 G         C
Build me a floating zoo, and take some of those

                                  Dm
Green alligators and long-necked geese
           G                                                   C
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
                                                              Dm
Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born
C                               G     C
Don't you forget My unicorns

                                       Dm
Old Noah was there to answer the call
         G                                                      C
He finished up making the ark just as the rain started to fall
                                        Dm
He marched the animals two by two
               C                G                C
And he called out as they came through

                                                               Dm
Hey Lord, I've got green alligators and long-necked geese
           G                                                   C
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
C                                                              Dm
Some cats and rats and elephants, but Lord, I'm so forlorn
   C                        G    C
I just can't find no unicorns

                                                           Dm
And Noah looked out through the driving rain
              G                               C
Them unicorns were hiding, playing silly games
                                                     Dm
Kicking and splashing while the rain was falling
C                     G    C
Oh, them silly unicorns

                                                  Dm
There was green alligators and long-necked geese
            G                                                  C
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
                                                                 Dm
Noah cried, "Close the door because the rain is falling
               C                              G   C
And we just can't wait for no unicorns

                                           Dm
The ark started moving, it drifted with the tide
          G                                        C
The unicorns looked up from the rocks and they cried
                                                                Dm
And the waters came down and sort of floated them away
            C                                                    G
That's why you never see unicorns to this very day

                                                  Dm
You'll see green alligators and long-necked geese
           G                                                   C
Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees
                                                              Dm
Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born
C                                         G    C
You're never gonna see no unicorns.
